Musical and Cultural Opportunities Offered at Ascot Community

School Production: All students are involved in our annual Term 4 School Production. This is a highlight of the year for our school community and gives students the opportunity to showcase their singing and dancing to their whanau.

Kapa Haka: Our senior Kapa Haka group performs at the annual Polyfest.

Choir: Our school choir practises weekly, and participates in the ILT Sing Out Festival. They also perform at the production and senior prize giving, as well as regularly at rest homes.

Ukulele: We have weekly lunchtime ukulele sessions, and are part of the nationwide Kiwileles programme working towards their first Kiwilele Jam in 2023.

Keyboard: Students have the opportunity to learn keyboard during weekly sessions with the specialist teacher.
